One area, several terroirs

Where climates meet

Aveyron, formerly the Rouergue, land of wide-open spaces, diversity, contrast and trade, is the only département in France where three climates intersect providing lush, intricate nature and agriculture, affording rich and varied cuisine.

A continental influence comes from the high plateaux of the Aubrac and Carladez, bringing with it cattle rearing traditions (Aubrac beef, cheese, etc.), and pork butchery meats.
The oceanic influence comes via the plains of Southwest France and the Lot Valley, lands of market gardening, cereal crops, poultry and foie gras.
And the Mediterranean influence reminds us that Languedoc is close by, with olive oil, lots of vegetables, sheep farming and so on.

Our region is an endless playground!!!

Bozouls, the place where Guillaume was born and where his roots are

Bozouls is a large village on Causse Comtal, the northernmost plateau of Grands Causses, a limestone plateau of marine sediments.
It is surrounded by the vale of Marcillac, the Lot and Aveyron Valleys and the Rodez area.

Staying in Bozouls means you get a good idea of the diversity of the place thanks to its central location.
Christine and Guillaume, both locals, help visitors choose their itinerary (sites, walks, listed villages, eating places, etc.)

Le Belvédère lies on the edge of the site of the “Trou de Bozouls”, a 100-metre-deep canyon formed by the Dourdou, which starts a lovely, spellbinding valley from this point.

The village combines the old and the new and has all the shops and services you need.
